Telangana's Rs 1,090 Crore H-City Project Targets KBR Park Traffic
The city of Hyderabad has too many cars and traffic jams.
The Telangana government decided to fix this problem.
They started a big project called H-City.
They will build seven bridges in the sky and seven underground roads around a big park called KBR Park.
This will cost about Rs.
1,090 crore.
While they build, some roads near the park will only let cars go one way starting August 18.
This might make driving slower at first.
But when it is finished, cars will not have to stop at so many traffic lights.
People will save time and fuel.
The project will also help reduce pollution.
The Telangana government launched the Hyderabad City Innovative and Transformative (H-City) project to curb traffic congestion in Hyderabad.
Construction of 14 structures, comprising seven multi-level steel flyovers and seven directional underpasses, began at six key junctions around KBR Park.
A one-way traffic system around KBR Park will be implemented starting August 18 to enable rapid completion of construction.
Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar said traffic issues at KBR Park Entrance, Road No. 45, Film Nagar, Maharaja Agrasen and Cancer Hospital junctions will be 100% resolved.
Congestion at Jubilee Hills Check Post Junction is expected to drop by 80%, cutting travel time and fuel costs between the core city and the IT corridor.
The project is also expected to reduce carbon emissions by limiting prolonged vehicle idling at traffic junctions.
