Delhi CM Launches Solar Portal to Benefit 2.3 Lakh Homes
Delhi has started a website to help families apply for rooftop solar panels.
The program is part of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.

The central and Delhi governments will together provide subsidies of up to ₹1.56 lakh for eligible systems.
More than 2.30 lakh families are targeted in the first phase.
People must register early because applications will be handled in the order they arrive.

Officials say the panels may provide free electricity for nearly 25 years and could also create income.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta launched the Delhi PM Surya Ghar registration portal on Monday under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
Delhi households using up to 400 electricity units monthly can receive rooftop solar systems of up to 3 kW without payment.
The Centre and Delhi government will each provide subsidies of up to ₹78,000, totaling ₹1.56 lakh for eligible systems.
The first phase aims to provide free rooftop solar panels to more than 2.30 lakh families on a first-come, first-served basis.
Officials said the systems could provide free electricity for about 25 years and potential monthly income of ₹293 to ₹2,400.
