Madhya Pradesh Announces IPS Reshuffle, New Intelligence Chief

Madhya Pradesh is changing the jobs of several senior police officers.

Anshuman Yadav is expected to become the state’s new intelligence chief.

The current intelligence chief, A. Sai Manohar, is scheduled to retire on August 31.

Reports say Manohar may then advise Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.

Chanchal Shekhar has been given responsibility for sports.

D. Sreenivasa Verma will oversee crime records and also have an additional security role.

Anil Kumar will work on women’s safety and tribal welfare matters.

The intelligence department collects information about possible law-and-order problems and security threats.
