Yamaha YZF-R2 Launches In India From ₹2.30 Lakh
Yamaha has introduced a new motorcycle called the YZF-R2 in India.
Its starting price is ₹230,500 before other showroom charges.
The most expensive version, called the R2 M, costs ₹253,000.
The bike is expected to begin shipping or reach dealerships in September 2026.
It has a 204cc engine and weighs 149kg.
Reports differ slightly on whether the engine makes 26.1 bhp or 26.5 bhp, but both list 19.1 Nm of torque.
Riders can choose from several riding modes and all models have traction control.
Higher versions add equipment such as a quick shifter, TFT screen, adjustable controls and a Smart Key.
Yamaha says the bike is the lightest in its class.
