The Bharatiya Janata Party, also called the BJP, is one of India's biggest political groups.

Its president, Nitin Nabin, picked new managers to run the party's work in three Indian states: Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Gujarat.

These managers are called state in-charges.

Vinod Tawde will be the in-charge for Uttar Pradesh, with Jagdish Ishwarbhai Patel helping him as co-in-charge.

Satish Poonia will manage the party's work in Punjab.

Tarun Chugh will look after Gujarat, while also keeping his job at the party's national office.

The new jobs started right away.

The party is making these changes because voters in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh will choose new leaders early next year, and Gujarat will vote later in 2027.
