Nepal Floods Leave 1,225 Dead as Devighat Shows Devastation

Flash floods and mudslides hit Nepal and nearby Tibet on August 26.

Many people died, and thousands are still missing.

Nepal reported 1,204 deaths and 4,216 missing people.

Tibet reported another 21 deaths and 541 missing people.

Together, the reported death toll is 1,225.

Drone pictures show roads and houses covered in mud in Devighat.

Rescue workers are searching for people and clearing away debris.

Some mud is as high as a two-storey building.

Authorities are still checking how much damage the floods caused.
