India’s 2026 BRICS Summit Awaits Modi-Xi Bilateral Talks

India is preparing to host an important BRICS meeting in New Delhi.

BRICS is a group of countries that discuss shared international issues.

The summit will happen on September 12 and 13, 2026.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to host Chinese President Xi Jinping for a separate meeting on Saturday.

However, India and China have not officially confirmed that meeting yet.

Xi’s visit would be his first trip to India in nearly seven years.

The two leaders last met at a larger conference, where they shook hands but did not have formal talks.

Leaders from Russia, Iran, South Africa and other countries are also expected to attend.
