408 Eklavya students clear NEET; 41 qualify for IIT JEE
Many students in India want to become doctors or engineers.
Some of them study in special schools called Eklavya Model Residential Schools.
These schools are for children from tribal communities.
This year, 408 students from these schools passed the NEET exam to get into MBBS courses.
Also, 41 students passed a very hard engineering exam to get into the Indian Institutes of Technology.
The government told the Lok Sabha, which is part of India's parliament, about these results.
There are 508 Eklavya schools across the country.
Most students in these schools passed their Class X and Class XII exams.
The government is also hiring more teachers and staff to help students do well.
This news shows that tribal students can succeed in tough exams when they get support.
408 students from Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRSs) qualified for NEET for MBBS courses.
41 EMRS students qualified for the Joint Engineering Exam (Advanced) 2026 for admission to Indian Institutes of Technology.
Eight Centres of Excellence and the ENABLE Programme (launched in 2025) provide mentoring and online coaching for IIT-JEE and NEET aspirants.
508 EMRSs are operational, with a 93.62% pass rate in Class X and 87.82% in Class XII for 2025-26.
9,111 teaching and non-teaching staff were recruited via ESSE-2023, and ESSE-2025 exams were held for another 7,267 staff posts.
