Akhilesh courts Brahmins, says PDA includes Pandits
A man named Akhilesh Yadav leads a political party called the Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh, a big state in India.
He gave a speech at a meeting of people from the Brahmin community.
Brahmins are a group in Indian society, and Pandits are religious teachers from this group.
He said his special word, PDA, also includes Pandits.
He said the state government is being unfair to Brahmins, opposition workers, and religious leaders.
He spoke about a religious leader who was stopped from taking a holy bath and had a false case filed against him.
He also said the government does not honor a former prime minister named Atal Bihari Vajpayee well enough.
He said the government leaks exam papers on purpose so young people cannot get jobs.
He promised that if his party wins, he will create lots of jobs for young people in a new Uttar Pradesh.
Akhilesh Yadav addressed a Brahmin Sammelan at the SP state headquarters in Lucknow on Janeshwar Mishra's birth anniversary.
Yadav asserted that 'PD' in PDA also stands for Pandit, saying 'the more they inflict pain, the stronger PDA will become'.
He accused the BJP-led Uttar Pradesh government of targeting opposition workers, Brahmins, and religious leaders, including Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati.
Yadav alleged the government denied permission to hold the event at Janeshwar Mishra Park in Gomti Nagar, forcing it to the party office.
He accused the BJP of neglecting Atal Bihari Vajpayee's legacy and claimed exam papers are deliberately leaked to deny jobs to the youth.
Yadav promised that a Samajwadi government would build a 'new Uttar Pradesh' and generate enough jobs so no young person suffers in search of work.
