Zaheerabad Smart City to Boost Telangana Industry, Create 200,000 Jobs
The government of Telangana wants to build a big new city called the Zaheerabad Smart City.
This city will be full of factories and other businesses.
Building it will cost about ₹15,000 crore.
Once it is finished, it could give jobs to 200,000 people.
Some people will work directly in the factories, and others will get jobs because of all the new business.
The city will cover an area of 3,245 acres.
The state government owns part of the land, and the central government is helping pay for it.

Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu said the Zaheerabad Industrial Smart City targets about ₹15,000 crore in investments.
The smart city, spread over 3,245 acres, is expected to generate direct and indirect employment for 200,000 people once fully operational.
Development works will be completed by March 2028 under the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) model.
Telangana holds a 51% stake in the smart city through land, while the Centre provides funds for development activities.
Sridhar Babu asked Union Minister Piyush Goyal to allocate four of the 100 'plug-and-play' industrial parks to Telangana under the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojana (BHAVYA).
