Anantapur Police Bust 12-Member Theft Gang, Recover ₹46 Lakh Valuables

Some thieves were stealing bags and money from people waiting at bus stands, train stations, and other busy places.

They mostly picked on women travelers by tricking them or getting them distracted.

The police in Anantapur caught all 12 members of the gang.

Five of the thieves were children, so they were sent to a special home for young people.

The police found lots of stolen treasure, including gold, silver, and cash.

All the stolen things together were worth about 46 lakh rupees, which is a huge amount of money.

In one case, the thieves stole a bag full of gold from a woman riding in an auto-rickshaw.

The gang all lived in the same area in a town called Gooty.

Now that they are caught, they cannot steal from travelers anymore.
