Schools Plan Fresh Independence Day Activities Ahead of August 15

India's Independence Day is coming up on August 15.

On that day, the Prime Minister will raise the national flag at the Red Fort and talk to the whole country.

Many people will come to watch.

Schools want to make this day special and fun for students.

They are planning contests like essays, paintings, and quizzes about how India became free.

Teachers will also tell stories about brave women like Rani Lakshmibai and Sarojini Naidu who helped India.

Students may read the Preamble of the Constitution together each morning.

Some schools will hold classes about the Constitution and everybody's rights and duties.

Kids can also make flags using recycled materials and help with community projects.

They might plant trees or write letters to soldiers.
