Kerala cooperative society gifts new bus to cash-strapped KSRTC

A cooperative society in Kerala bought a new bus and gave it to the state's bus company, called KSRTC.

The bus cost 40 lakh rupees, which is a lot of money.

The bus will drive on a route that connects Kozhikode and Palakkad to a place called Parambikulam.

Some people who travel to the Muthalamada area had a hard time getting there, so someone decided to help.

A man named C.N. Vijayakrishnan, who works at a cancer institute, started the idea after seeing passengers struggle.

The transport minister, C.P. John, said thank you for the bus.

He thinks other groups should do the same thing to help public buses.

The government wants to put 2,000 new buses on the roads, and this gift helps with that goal.

It shows that communities can help take care of things that are normally the government's job.
