Police in Delhi and Assam arrested a 27-year-old man named Apurba Thakur.
They say he may have supplied psychotropic tablets to a drug network moving between Delhi and Assam.
The investigation started when Assam Police allegedly found heroin hidden in a car on July 17.

Investigators say some communications involved a person suspected of belonging to ULFA(I), a banned separatist group.
Police also found an alleged tablet invoice and messages on Thakur’s devices.
They are checking a large online money transfer connected to the case.

Police are examining a transaction involving several lakhs and whether drug proceeds financed unlawful or terrorist activities.
