Chandigarh Luxury Home Sale Highlights Billion-Rupee Realty Boom
Billion-rupee for a Chandigarh address: The City Beautiful joins India’s luxury realty league · indianexpress.com

Chandigarh has very little available land for new homes.

Many people want to own homes in its older, well-known sectors.

Because there are few plots for sale, buyers are paying very high prices.

One house in Sector 9 recently sold for about Rs.

100 crore.

Other plots also sold for tens of crores.

The prices were often much higher than the government-assessed collector values.

Buyers include wealthy businesspeople, politicians, NRIs, cricketers and film personalities.

Experts say the high prices are mainly caused by limited supply and strong demand.
