NCB Uncovers Two Heroin Routes Into Jammu and Kashmir
The Narcotics Control Bureau found two ways heroin was being brought into Jammu and Kashmir.
One route allegedly came directly from Pakistan through the Uri sector.
The other route passed through Punjab.
On September 3, officers found 522 grams of heroin on a passenger bus near Samba.
They then traced the drugs to Ludhiana and found another 197 grams there.
In total, that linked operation recovered 719 grams.
Earlier searches found more heroin in Jammu and in two local drug-affected neighborhoods.
Investigators are still looking for the people who supplied, financed and distributed the drugs.
