Airbus has asked Mahindra Aerostructures to make important outer panels for A320neo airplanes.

These panels are called fuselage skins.

Mahindra will make them in Bengaluru, India.

The panels will cover the rear and tail parts of the airplane.

They will then be sent to an Airbus facility in Augsburg, Germany.

The project includes eight panels for one section and three for another.

Mahindra will add new manufacturing skills and equipment for the work.

The first deliveries are planned for 2028.

Airbus said the agreement supports India’s goal of making more advanced products domestically.
