Maharashtra Opens Pavitra Portal for 30,209 Teacher Recruitment Vacancies

The government of Maharashtra, a state in India, wants to hire lots of new teachers for its schools.

They made a special website called the Pavitra Portal to help with this.

To get these jobs, people first had to take a big test called TAIT 2025.

Many people took the test in May and June of 2025.

In fact, over two hundred thousand people appeared for the exam.

Now, the people who did well can log into the portal and choose which schools they want to work at.

They have until August 11 to lock in their choices.

Out of the 30,209 teaching jobs, almost 20,000 will be given without an interview.

The rest, in private schools, will include an interview.

Once everyone picks their schools, the government will publish a merit list to decide who gets the jobs.
