AP Government to Fill 6,534 Teacher Posts Without Written Exam

The Andhra Pradesh government wants to hire new teachers for its government schools.

It announced 6,534 teacher jobs called Vidya Volunteer posts for the 2026-27 school year.

In a surprise, there will be no written exam for these jobs.

Instead, candidates will be chosen based on their education and academic merit.

There are two types of jobs: Secondary Grade Teachers and School Assistants.

One type needs Intermediate plus a two-year D.Ed course, while the other needs a degree in the relevant subject plus a B.Ed.

People who have qualified TET or DSC will get preference.

The selected teachers will be paid a monthly honorarium of Rs.

10,000 or Rs.

12,500.

Applications must be handed in by August 21.

Hired teachers will work in government schools from September 1, 2026 to April 30, 2027.
