Karnataka Announces 15,000 Teacher Vacancies; Applications Open August 18

The Karnataka government in India wants to hire 15,000 new teachers for schools across the state.

People who want to become teachers can apply online starting on August 18, 2026.

The last day to send in an application is September 7, 2026.

There are different kinds of teaching jobs available, such as primary school teachers, graduate teachers, and physical education teachers.

The jobs are divided between the Kalyana Karnataka region and the rest of the state.

Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa promised to start this recruitment, and now the process has begun.

The recruitment was delayed because of some rules about reservations and court decisions.

To get a job, candidates will need to pass a computer-based test.

Some jobs, like physical education teachers, may also need a physical fitness test.

The date of the exam has not been announced yet.
