Odisha Crafts Reach New Audiences at Bhubaneswar Fashion Week
A fashion event in Bhubaneswar showed traditional clothes and crafts from Odisha.
The Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society helped bring the products to the event.
Forty models wore outfits featuring local weaving and crafts.
Fourteen women weavers also walked the runway wearing their own designs.
Visitors could see and buy products at two stalls.
The same collections are also sold at two ORMAS outlets.
The minister said events like this can help artisans find customers and support rural livelihoods while keeping craft traditions alive.
The Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society was co-powering partner at the two-day Bhubaneswar Times Fashion Week 2026.
Forty models showcased collections featuring Odisha handloom, handicrafts and products from the One District One Product initiative.
The showcased crafts included Sambalpuri silk, Kataka Khandua, Pattachitra silk, Kotpad textiles, Dhalapathar weaving and Dhokra craft.
Fourteen women weavers from Khordha and Cuttack walked the ramp in creations of their own.
ORMAS displayed and sold products at two kiosks; collections are also available at Subarnashree and Subhadra Shakti Bazar.
