Hyderabad proposes 208 polling station changes during electoral roll revision

There is an important job happening in Hyderabad, a big city in India: getting ready for elections.

The people in charge of elections want to improve where people go to vote.

They suggested 208 changes, like moving some voting places to better buildings.

They also want to rename some voting places and create about four new ones.

Some voting places that are no longer needed might be closed or combined with others.

Before deciding, they talked to leaders from all the main political parties.

At the same time, workers are updating the big list of people who are allowed to vote.

Every voter in the district has now received a special form to fill in.

More than half of the forms have already been scanned into computers, and officials are working to finish the rest.

Election officials are asking everyone to return their forms quickly so the work can be completed on time.
