Submit Special Revision Forms Early, Hyderabad Election Authority Urges
The government in Hyderabad is updating the list of people who can vote, which is called the electoral roll.
They are running a special drive, called the Special Intensive Revision, to check and update this list.
People have to fill out a special form called an enumeration form so their name stays on the list.
The last day to send in the form is August 10.
So far, only about 58 out of every 100 forms in Hyderabad have been processed.
A helper called a booth level officer can pick up your filled form from your home.
You can also submit the form online if your Aadhaar card and voter ID card have the same name.
If you don't send the form in time, your name might not be on the draft voting list.
The Hyderabad District Election Authority urged electors to submit their enumeration forms early for the special intensive revision (SIR) of the electoral roll rather than waiting until the August 10 deadline.
Only 58.10% of enumeration forms in Hyderabad district have been digitised so far.
Completed forms can be collected from electors' residences by booth level officers or submitted at designated collection centres or ERO offices.
Electors can submit forms online through the Election Commission of India (ECI) portal if their names are the same in their Aadhaar and EPIC cards.
Failure to submit the form by the deadline may result in the elector's name being omitted from the draft electoral roll.
