TN CM Vijay's Wife Withdraws Divorce Case
Joseph Vijay is the Chief Minister, or the top leader, of a place in India called Tamil Nadu.
He is a very famous person.
His wife is named Sangeetha.
Earlier this year, Sangeetha went to a special court called a family court.
She asked the court to end her marriage with Vijay, which is called a divorce.
She said some unhappy things about him in her court papers.
Many people watched this case because Vijay is a famous leader.
But on Friday, Sangeetha told the judge she did not want the divorce anymore.
The judge asked her some questions to make sure and then closed the case.
Now the family will stay together.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay's wife Sangeetha Sornalingam withdrew her divorce petition on Friday at the Chengalpattu Family Court.
Sangeetha appeared via video conference and told Justice Sujatha she no longer wished to pursue the case.
The judge questioned her for about 15 minutes before accepting the withdrawal and closing the proceedings.
The petition, made public in February, had alleged infidelity and cruelty and saw repeated adjournments, most recently posted from June 15 to August 7.
Reports suggest the couple's differences were resolved following intervention by Vijay's family; they married in 1999 and have two children, Jason Sanjay and Divya Saasha.
