Boy killed and five injured in attacks on Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

Russian drone and missile attacks on Dnipropetrovsk Oblast in Ukraine on Oct.

10 killed an 11-year-old boy and injured five people.

The boy was killed by a munition dropped from a drone in the Pokrovske community, in Nikopol district.

Two other children, aged 10 and 12, were injured and hospitalized; three adults were also hurt.

Regional authorities said Russian forces attacked the oblast more than 30 times that day with drones and artillery.

The strikes damaged homes, a gas station, an ambulance, infrastructure, vehicles and agricultural machinery.

Nikopol, in the attacked district, lies across the Dnipro River from the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and has faced frequent attacks during the full-scale invasion.

The attacks came amid several days of deadly Russian strikes elsewhere in Ukraine, but no further response or next steps were stated.
