Ultrahuman and Abu Dhabi to develop biological-age model for UAE
Bengaluru-based health technology company Ultrahuman has agreed to work with the Abu Dhabi Public Health Center on a model that estimates biological age.
The model will combine clinical health markers with data from wearables to assess how quickly a person may be aging.
It will examine factors such as sleep, activity, cardiovascular health and metabolism.
The two-year partnership will focus on research and clinical validation before a wider rollout.
The model is being designed to work with different types of wearables, not just Ultrahuman’s smart rings.
The company says people may eventually be able to access their health age through UAE government digital-health platforms, including TAMM and Sahatna.
The rollout is expected to happen in phases, but no timeline has been given.
Ultrahuman has signed a two-year agreement with Abu Dhabi’s public health authority to develop and validate a biological-age model.
The model will combine clinical biomarkers with data from wearable devices to estimate how quickly a person is aging.
The company says it eventually intends to make the model available across the UAE through government digital-health platforms.
The model is designed to work with different wearable devices, and Ultrahuman says it will not have access to users’ personally identifiable information through the program.
A broader rollout is planned in phases, but the company has not provided a timeline.

If you look at Ultrahuman as a company, we obviously have the Ultrahuman Ring, which is a way to acquire data from the human body
But truly, what we care about is not just the form factor, the ring, but what do we do with this data?
We will deploy an algorithm on the UAE data
