Israel says it struck Hamas sites across Gaza

Israel's military says it struck five Hamas sites in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours.

The targets included three weapons storage facilities, an observation command center and a rocket launch site.

The military said the command center was in the Daraj Tuffah area and the launch site was in the Al-Furqan area.

It said the command center had been used for activities against Israeli troops operating in the area.

The military said it issued advance warnings to people and used precision weapons and aerial surveillance to reduce the risk to civilians.

The strikes targeted what Israel described as Hamas military infrastructure; no further details about casualties or what happens next were provided.
