TrivarX shifts focus to brain cancer imaging under new CEO
TrivarX, an Australian biotech company, is shifting its focus to imaging cancers of the brain and spinal cord.
It acquired Stabl-Im in November 2025 and appointed Dr Danielle Meyrick as CEO to lead its development.
Stabl-Im is designed to add information about tumour activity to high-resolution MRI images without using radioactive agents.
MRI can show detailed images of the brain, but TrivarX says Stabl-Im could provide clinicians with more information about how a tumour is behaving.
That information may help clinicians assess treatment responses and make decisions about care.
The technology is intended to complement existing imaging methods such as MRI and PET, not replace them.

- What
- The company is shifting towards brain and other central nervous system cancer imaging using the radiation-free technology.
- When
- TrivarX announced an exclusive option in October 2025 and acquired Stabl-Im in November 2025. The article was published on October 11, 2026.
- Where
- The focus is imaging cancers affecting the brain and spinal cord. A company location is not stated.
- Why
- TrivarX aims to help track cancer patients’ responses to treatment, identify tumours sooner and provide clinicians with more information for treatment decisions.
This story does not have two clearly opposing sides.
The Stabl-Im technology provides an opportunity to better track how cancer patients respond to treatment and identify tumours sooner and safer using just MRI imaging.
I am very happy to see TrivarX advancing this exciting technology into the clinic.
We don’t have the handling and safety issues or the decay issues associated with radioisotopes, which to me makes it a genuinely attractive technology.
Danielle is the right person to take Stabl-Im forward.
