Adidas sues Australian fashion label White Fox over four-stripe clothing design
Adidas is suing Sydney-based online fashion label White Fox over clothes with four parallel stripes.
Adidas says the design is too similar to its three-stripe trademark, which it has held in Australia since 1957.
The company also objects to White Fox promotions that show its clothes alongside genuine Adidas products, saying shoppers could think the brands are connected.
White Fox denies breaking the trademark and says the stripes are decorative; it also points to other fashion labels that use similar designs.
Adidas is seeking to stop White Fox from making the clothes and to recover profits and other damages.
The dispute follows an earlier Australian case in which Adidas won a lawsuit over four-striped shoes in 2013.
A trial in the White Fox case is expected in early 2027.
