Kaoko reports copper-silver discovery at Namibia's Chalkos project

Kaoko Metals says its first two drill holes at the Otniel prospect have confirmed copper and silver mineralisation.

Otniel is part of the Chalkos exploration project in Namibia.

One hole returned 37.1 metres grading 1.23% copper and 15.2 grams of silver per tonne, while the other returned 48 metres grading 1.02% copper and 12.9 grams of silver per tonne.

Both holes also contained shorter intervals with higher grades.

These results give the company laboratory measurements to compare with copper seen in the drill core earlier.

They are early exploration results, and the company says it needs more drilling to establish the size and continuity of the mineralisation.

Drilling is continuing at Otniel, while a second rig is testing copper mineralisation at Donkey Hill; further Otniel assays are also expected.
