Joshua-Fury fight deal was finalized in a Brighton karaoke bar

Joshua-Fury fight deal was finalized in a Brighton karaoke bar

Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury are due to fight on 11 December in Cardiff.

Both are former world heavyweight champions.

Matchroom executive Frank Smith says the deal was finalized after months of negotiations, during a four-hour meeting in Brighton.

With other venues closed on a Sunday night, the group moved from a restaurant to a karaoke bar.

The fight had nearly been held in New York, but Joshua and promoter Eddie Hearn pushed for a UK venue.

The bout matters because it brings two leading British heavyweights together in a highly anticipated contest.

Fury is favored, while Joshua recently had a difficult fight against Kristian Prenga.
