Warm, mostly sunny weather forecast across the Netherlands this week

After several wet days, the Netherlands is forecast to have a mostly calm and dry week.

Two high-pressure systems are pushing rain, wind and cloud towards northern Europe, bringing sunny, warm conditions to much of central and western Europe.

Monday is expected to be mostly sunny, though the night before may bring frost on the ground and fog in eastern parts of the Netherlands.

Tuesday should be cloudier, with some rain likely in the afternoon.

From Wednesday, dry weather and winds from the south are expected to lift temperatures above the mid-October average of 15 degrees.

Wednesday and Thursday could reach 18 to 21 degrees, with even higher temperatures in the south, before temperatures fall and showers may arrive on Friday.

The forecast for the following week is uncertain, but it currently points to mostly dry weather with a fair amount of sunshine.
