Clippy desk model sells for $14.50 after hackers used mascot in crypto scam

Hackers took control of Microsoft’s X account and used it to promote a Clippy-themed cryptocurrency.

Microsoft confirmed the account had been accessed without permission.

A separate seller is offering an unofficial, physical Clippy model made from 93 building blocks for $14.50.

It gives fans a way to enjoy the mascot without buying cryptocurrency.
