Apple may add Siri microphones and a speaker-equipped remote to Apple TV 4K
Apple is expected to announce an updated Apple TV 4K at its “Welcome Home” event on October 13.
The device is a streaming box for watching video on a television, and the current model dates from 2022.
Apple has reportedly tested built-in microphones so people can speak to Siri through the box, rather than using the remote or a paired HomePod.
It has also tested a speaker in the Siri Remote to make the remote easier to find if it is misplaced.
The reports do not confirm whether either feature will be included in the final product.
A faster processor has also been reported, though accounts differ on which chip the device may use.
The new Apple TV 4K is expected to go on sale October 30, alongside an updated HomePod mini.
