Navratri display in Rajinikanth temple features more than 230 tributes

A special Navratri kolu at the Azhagumigu Sri Rajini Temple pays tribute to Indian actor Rajinikanth.

The display, created by fan Karthik, includes more than 230 photos and representations of the actor and his film characters.

It follows his career from his debut in Apoorva Raagangal to upcoming films including Jailer 2 and Dharman.

Karthik began the annual tradition three years ago and says he has been a fan for nearly 40 to 50 years.

He makes the display by mounting and arranging pictures, and the temple also holds daily pujas and distributes food offerings to devotees.

The kolu brings Navratri traditions together with fans’ long-standing admiration for Rajinikanth.

Jailer 2 is scheduled to open in theatres on October 15, 2026, with Rajinikanth returning as Muthuvel Pandian.
