Ektaa Kapoor confirms The Dirty Picture 2 is in development
Producer Ektaa Kapoor has confirmed that The Dirty Picture 2 is in development, 15 years after the first film was released.
She said she has found a story she wants to tell, but has not shared its details.
The sequel will again focus on a woman, though her identity and the experiences behind the story are unknown.
The 2011 original starred Vidya Balan and was inspired by South Indian actress Silk Smitha.
Kapoor said she saw Smitha as a woman who embraced her sexuality, despite being judged for it.
