Drishyam 3 becomes Ajay Devgn’s highest-grossing film in India

Drishyam 3, starring Ajay Devgn, earned about ₹26.5 crore net in India on its second Saturday.

Its reported India net total stood above ₹285 crore after nine days in theatres, though one account gave a lower total of ₹285.5 crore and others gave ₹286.5 crore.

The film has passed the reported lifetime India net collection of Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, making it Devgn’s highest-grossing film in India.

It is the third film in the Drishyam franchise and continues the story of Vijay Salgaonkar, who tries to keep secrets from his past hidden.

The Hindi film has an original storyline and is not a direct remake of the upcoming Malayalam Drishyam 3.

Its strong second-Saturday earnings followed a first-week India net total of about ₹245.5 crore.

The film is approaching the ₹300 crore mark, and its next box-office results will show whether it reaches that milestone.
