Italy introduces digital tracking document for olives and olive oil

Italy has introduced a digital document to track the movement of olives and olive oil.

It will record movements of bulk and packaged oil as well as olives.

The records are intended to help authorities check where products come from and spot fraud.

This could give buyers more confidence and help protect honest farmers.
