Fiat plans electric car under €15,000 and expands its market reach by 2030

Fiat plans electric car under €15,000 and expands its market reach by 2030

Arnaud Belloni, who returned to Stellantis on September 1, leads Fiat, Abarth and Lancia and oversees the group’s marketing in Europe.

He says Fiat aims to increase the share of European market segments it serves from about 25% to about 50% by 2030.

The plan includes expanding beyond Fiat’s traditional small-car range.

Belloni says the company is planning a fully electric small car costing less than €15,000.

Stellantis has identified its Pomigliano plant in Italy to build the E-Car family from 2028.

He also says the Fiat 500, currently made at Mirafiori in electric and hybrid versions, is central to the brand’s future.

The plans matter to Fiat’s efforts to offer affordable small cars and broaden its presence across Europe.
