IIT Bombay to use 2015 malpractice rules for postponed exams
IIT Bombay postponed its mid-semester exams after a student died by suicide following an alleged academic malpractice case.
The institute’s Senate put stricter rules introduced in 2026 on hold.
The exams on October 10 and 11 will follow the older 2015 rules.
A committee is reviewing the policy and how suspected violations were handled.
