Archon Robotics demonstrates whole-body control for humanoid robots
Shanghai-based Archon Robotics demonstrated a system for coordinating humanoid robots’ whole bodies as they carry out household tasks.
The system, called Whole-Body Intelligence, links a robot’s understanding of a task with planning and controlling its movements.
In demonstrations, AGIBOT A3, Booster T2 and modified Unitree G1 robots picked up objects, climbed steps, cleared tables and used kitchen appliances.
Archon says it trains the system with human movement examples and data from physical robots, including examples of correcting mistakes.
The company says the full demonstrations ran autonomously at normal speed, although some explanatory footage showed teleoperation used in training.
The demonstration does not establish how reliably the robots handle unfamiliar tasks, because Archon did not provide task-completion rates, intervention figures or quantitative transfer results.
Such measures would help show whether the system works beyond staged demonstrations; the company has not stated what comes next.
Shanghai-based Archon Robotics has demonstrated its Whole-Body Intelligence system, which links task planning with coordinated full-body movement in humanoid robots.
The demonstration shows robots picking up objects, navigating steps, clearing tables, operating dishwashers and organizing refrigerators.
Archon says the system is pretrained on human movement data and post-trained on data from real robots.
The company said the full demonstrations run autonomously at normal speed.
Archon did not disclose dataset sizes or quantitative results on how well the system transfers skills to unfamiliar situations.
