3D-printed jet-powered model aircraft makes its first flight

The Kingchaser is a remote-controlled aircraft made partly with a 3D printer and powered by a jet turbine.

A team of University of Bath graduates has completed its first flight.

They hope it can reach Mach 0.8 and break the current speed record for model aircraft.

The record is currently held by German pilot Neils Herbrich.
