Magnitude 4.2 earthquake recorded in Tabasco as six quakes hit Mexico

Mexico’s National Seismological Service recorded six earthquakes of magnitude 3.7 or higher on Oct.

10, 2026.

One measured magnitude 4.2 and was centered 15 kilometers southeast of Parrilla Primera Sección in Tabasco, at a depth of eight kilometers.

The strongest listed quake measured magnitude 4.3 and occurred 125 kilometers southwest of Ciudad Hidalgo in Chiapas.

The reported earthquakes were in Tabasco, Chiapas and Michoacán.

Authorities had reported no injuries or property damage from the quakes by 4 p.m.

The seismic service said its figures were preliminary and could change as monitoring continued.
