Apple’s HomeView smart home hub is expected to ship in mid-November

Apple’s HomeView smart home hub is expected to ship in mid-November

Apple is expected to introduce HomeView at its October 13 “Welcome Home” event.

The device is designed to act as a control center for an Apple-powered smart home, using Siri as its main way to respond to users.

It is expected to have an A18 chip and a screen, with one version for a countertop and another that can be mounted on a wall.

The countertop model is expected in four colors, while the wall-mounted version is expected in two.

HomeView will reportedly support only a limited selection of Apple apps and will not have an App Store.

Apple is also working with LG on smart home accessories intended to work with its products, though those accessories are expected later.

HomeView is expected to ship around mid-November, after a new HomePod mini and Apple TV are expected to arrive on October 30.
