Apple’s HomeView smart home hub is expected to arrive before year-end

Apple’s HomeView smart home hub is expected to arrive before year-end

Apple is expected to announce a smart home hub called HomeView at an event on October 13.

The device is designed to act as a control center for an Apple-based smart home.

It will have a display and an A18 chip, and is expected to rely mainly on voice control while also supporting touch.

One report says it will have a speaker-base model in four colors and a wall-mounted version in two colors.

It is expected to run Apple apps, but not have its own App Store.

The reports differ slightly on timing: one says it will be available before the end of 2026, while another expects shipping in mid-November.

Apple is also preparing updates to Apple TV and HomePod mini, along with smart home accessories made with partners including LG.
