NBA teams earned $13.7 billion last season, up 12%

The NBA’s 30 teams earned a combined $13.7 billion last season, or an average of $456 million per team.

That total includes income from events outside the league held at venues teams own or manage.

Revenue rose 12% from the previous season as a new 11-year national media deal worth $76 billion began.

Each team received about $180 million from the league’s shared media, sponsorship and licensing income.

The Golden State Warriors had the highest reported revenue, at $895 million after revenue-sharing obligations, and were valued at $14.5 billion.

The New York Knicks were valued at $12.8 billion and the Los Angeles Lakers at $12.5 billion, while the average team value reached $6.64 billion.

These figures show how much team revenues and valuations have grown alongside the league’s media business.
