Report: Quanta paused HP notebook production during price talks
Quanta reportedly stopped making HP notebooks for about a week while the companies argued over costs.
Production restarted after HP executives agreed to a price adjustment.
The dispute involved parts Quanta buys, not most of the memory, processors and graphics chips that HP sources itself.
If costs rise, the disagreement shows how demand for AI servers may give suppliers more reason to seek higher prices, but the reported halt has not been officially confirmed.
