Volvo to distribute Lynk & Co cars in Europe, aiming to boost dealer profits
Volvo Cars will become the exclusive importer of Lynk & Co in Europe.
Both car brands are owned by China’s Geely, while Volvo retains its Swedish identity and has a strong position in Europe’s premium-car market.
Volvo Car Spain chief executive José María Galofré says the arrangement should increase sales and profit for Volvo’s dealer network.
Dealers can use their existing sales and repair networks to serve both brands.
Spain is Lynk & Co’s second-largest European market, after Sweden.
Galofré says Chinese brands have gained nearly 15% of Spain’s car market, taking sales from other competitors because the market is not expected to grow much.
Volvo’s Spanish sales reached 10,661 registrations through September, up 2.5%, and Galofré expects sales to rise almost 5% in 2026.
He says Volvo’s biggest growth will come in 2027.
Volvo will distribute Lynk & Co cars in Europe, a move expected to increase sales volume and margins for Volvo dealers.
Lynk & Co is owned by China’s Geely, which also owns 78% of Volvo.

Spain is Lynk & Co’s second-largest European market, behind Sweden, according to Galofré.
