Microsoft is offering MacBook Pro owners up to $1,000 in extra cash back if they trade in their laptop and preorder a Surface Laptop Ultra.
The offer is available in the United States and Canada through November 23.
The Surface Laptop Ultra starts at $2,599.99, and Microsoft says shipments are set to begin on October 16.
The cash back is paid after Microsoft’s trade-in partner receives and evaluates the MacBook, in addition to its trade-in value.
The amount depends on the MacBook model, condition and eligibility, and the MacBook must be mailed within 15 days of starting the trade-in process.
The promotion is a financial incentive for Microsoft to attract customers from Apple’s premium laptop lineup.
