Polish agencies say threats against Tusk are highly credible

Polish intelligence agencies say threats of an assassination attempt against Prime Minister Donald Tusk are highly credible.

Intelligence spokesman Jacek Dobrzynski said officials are taking the matter very seriously.

Tusk and Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz received the threats at about 5:00 a.m.

GMT on October 11.

The threats were sent electronically, according to a Polish newspaper.

They reportedly included details about the politicians’ homes and plans for the near future.

The agencies held an emergency meeting after the threats came to light.

The information provided does not say whether anyone has been arrested or what protective measures will follow.
